Frequently Asked Questions

We can provide quotes for the transport of any size of collection. We recently moved a 14-bottle collection from San Francisco to New York. On a per-bottle basis, moving smaller collections is less cost effective, but we will always try to find solutions to make the cost as low as possible for you without sacrificing quality of service.

Shipping internationally can be tough, especially with smaller volumes. But we can probably assist you with our knowledge and partnerships. Just send us the details in a quote request.

An inventory is a good thing to have, for any wine collector. For us, it’s important that we know what your collection is worth. The easiest way to give us a declared value of your wine is by using an inventory. Many of our clients use this opportunity, when we have their wine in interim storage, to have one of our sommeliers do an inventory. Let us know if you’re interested in having us do an inventory for you.

Our commercial wine transport operation is as robust as our private wine transport operation. We work for dozens of wineries and auction houses all over the continent. If you want to talk about commercial transport, submit a quote request, or just give us a call at (503) 432-7877.

If you are relocating within your city or state, we sometimes are able to do a same-day pickup and delivery, or next day. For cross-continent transport, the whole process might take three to five weeks. When you give us the details of your move, we should be able to give you a good estimate.

If you need a rush service, we may be able to help you. May through August are our busiest months, but we can generally get you on our calendar within a week or two. If your situation is time sensitive, we will absolutely do our best to accommodate you.

In many cases, we pack up our clients’ wine and then provide temporary storage. When your new home is purchased, or your new cellar is built, you would simply notify us and then we would schedule your delivery.

All of our trucks and warehouses are temperature controlled. There may be a few moments when your wine is carried from your residence to our truck, but these moments are not enough to substantially change the temperature inside the bottles. Whether it’s summer or winter, we take every precaution to make sure your wine stays in a safe range.
